I think blogs should be supplemental resources. If additional subjects, only briefly mentioned in class are the topics of blog discussion, then kids cant just skip out on class. They have to participate in both in order to get all the information necessary for success in the class.
I think that blogs should have the bulk of information given in the class, but not all of it. Students should still need to talk to someone ot the teacher in the class to get all the information that they have missed.
